Boxing News 2014: Another Mayweather Douses Cold Water on Pacman-Money May Bout
Another Mayweather is dousing cold water on the so-called dream match between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Jeff Mayweather, another uncle of Money May, thinks there is little chance that the bout would ever take place despite renewed interest after an Arab prince promised to make the match happen in Dubai in 2015.
Jeff told Boxing News 24 that the chances are low for his nephew to meet the Filipino boxer inside the ring because of Floyd's refusal to have anything to do with Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter, and the congressman's rejection of the offer twice.
The uncle believes Pacman is living in the past that he is still a hot boxer, referring to the two-year period 2008 to 2010 when he knocked out all the boxers he fought, namely Oscar dela Hoya, Ricky Hatton, Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley and Joshua Clottey.

But he conceded, "It's a fight that could still happen, but at the same time it probably won't happen, because if Floyd would do it, it probably would be for the fans."
Boxing News 24 added that besides Pacquiao, his trainer Freddie Roach is also out of touch because he always predicts his ward would knock out his next opponent, but he never did in his recent bouts.
It added the surprise that Mayweather promised fans in May 2015 could be the fight with Pacquiao, but if that happens, it would be under Money May's terms such as random blood testing and a higher split of the guaranteed purse.
