Filipino champ Manny Pacquiao just broke another world record. No, he had not added another title to his current crowns in eight boxing divisions, but he broke the number of an entourage to accompany a boxer.

Pacquiao flew to Macau on Monday with 300 plus companions aboard two chartered jets. In contrast, opponent Chris Algieri brought with him 30 people.

Mike Koncz, Canadian adviser of Pacquiao, said some more members of Team Pacquiao would catch up with the group, bringing the total number of his entourage to about 350. Four chartered buses picked them up at the Macau airport and transported them to the Venetian Hotel Resort & Casino where the much-awaited fight between the Filipino congressman and Algieri would take place at the Cotai Arena on Saturday, Nov 22.

But Pacquiao may also break his previous choice of selecting celebrities to sing the Philippine national anthem. Reports said that what started out as a joke could become a reality as the congressman from General Santos Province is seriously considering having a group of born-again Christian pastors do the honours. Here's a peek at the preachers practicing the national anthem.

In the past, Pacquiao tapped known Filipino singers to do the honour. Among those who have sang the national anthem are Martin Nievera in 2009, Regine Velasquez in 2010, Charice Pempengco in 2011, Maria Aragon in 2011 and Jessica Sanchez in 2014.

Reports said that Sanchez, first runner-up in American Idol and a FilAm, is also slated to repeat her performance for the Algieri-Pacquiao fight but changes could possibly happen. However, it is understood that Pacquiao has to get the approval of Top Rank to make the switch or a compromise could happen with Sanchez perhaps being the main performer and the pastors as back-ups.

GMA reports that a Christian choir is the one performing the national anthem, which indicates that Top Rank Promotions boss Bob Arum can't say "no" to requests of his prized fighter whose bout has generated so much interest.

Arum disclosed that Hollywood action stars Sylvester Stallone, known as Rambo, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, known as the Terminator, will be in Macau to watch the fight which has also close to one million pay-per-view subscriptions, almost double the 475,000 PPV buys during Pacquiao's 2013 Macau match versus Brandon Rios. That would mean the Saturday bout would match or surpass the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana rematch on Sept 13, which according to unofficial reports, got less than 1 million PPV buys.
