Amid assessments by various boxing observers that Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao is slipping at a rate faster than rival Floyd Mayweather Jr, some experts still pick the eight-division title holder as the likely winner of the Nov 22 bout at the Cotai Arena in Macau versus American boxer Chris Algieri.

Boxing News 2014: WBO Forces Algieri To Give Up Junior Welterweight Title Because Of Nov 22 Bout Against Pacquiao

A few weeks back, Pacquiao had hinted he could knock out Algieri on the sixth round or halfway their 12-round bout. Just to show that he intends to fulfill that forecast, or the very least show he is not going downhill, Pacquiao KOed his sparring partner Stan Matyniouk on Thursday, reports the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

According to the witness, the KO came on the second round of their 3-round sparring session with Pacquiao unleashing a left straight.

On Thursday, Pacquiao sparred for 12 rounds with two more partners. Four rounds each against Russian boxer Viktor Postol and Jose Ramirez, while Mike Jones drew a bye.

On Tuesday, the Filipino congressman sparred for 11 rounds, after which he didn't get tired, leading coach Freddie Roach to declare that Pacquiao is definitely ready and will win on Nov 22.

Team Pacquiao flies to Macau on Monday aboard an Asian air carrier after he ends the GenSan leg of his training in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, to whet the appetite of boxing fans waiting for the Pacquiao-Algieri bout, HBO Sports brought back on pay-per-view TV theie pre-fight feature on Saturday night after the fight of Bernard Hopkins and Sergey Kovalev.

It would be the 10th fight of Pacquiao will air, and Algieri's first.
