Juan Manuel Marquez is open to fight again archrival Manny Pacquiao after all. Dinamita, after roughly a year of denying the Filipino boxer to get some payback, has changed his stance and is now willing to take on the Pacman for one more time.

Marquez, already a four-division world champion, is still seeking for another world title in fifth weight category - a feat that no Mexican boxer has accomplished so far.

Despite the advanced age of 40, Marquez remains one of the biggest stars not only in the welterweight division, but in the business. Coming off a 12-round split decision loss at the hands of Timothy Bradley Jr, the Mexican decided to take on young gun Mike Alvarado on May 17.

Armed with superb counter-punching ability and experience in the ring, Marquez is expected to win his next fight against Alvarado, who is also fresh from a TKO loss to WBO light welterweight champ Ruslan Provodnikov.

Now here comes the surprising part - Marquez wants a fifth showdown with Pacquiao in .the later part of 2014

Several weeks ago, Top-Rank promoter Bob Arum stated that Marquez is willing to take on the winner of the Pacquiao vs. Bradley slugfest for a shot at the WBO Welterweight crown. However, it was the latest statement by Marquez's promoter Fernando Beltran that caught everybody's attention.

"He wants the challenge of the Bradley-Pacquiao winner, he wants to make history of a fifth world title in five divisions." Beltran said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times, "If Pacquiao wins he'll have the belt, and Juan wants it."

Marquez was already asked if who he thinks will be the winner of the rematch between Pacquiao and Bradley. Surprisingly, the Mexican picked Pacman to win, though Bradley might have a shot if he makes necessary adjustments in his gameplan.

"First I want to say that it is an important, interesting fight, because of what happened in the first. In that fight the decision was different from what happened in the ring, and I think Bradley should change his strategy because it did not work [from the first fight]," Marquez told Boxing Scene.

"Pacquiao could fight the same, but it is Bradley who needs to make adjustments. If judges do what needs to be done, Pacquiao should win. If Bradley makes the adjustments, it's going to be a very good fight," he added.
