Great Britain's Carl Froch believed Manny Pacquiao should retire if he bows down again to Timothy Bradley in their WBO Welterweight Championship rematch, pointing out that Pacman is already in the twilight years of his career.

Froch, who is scheduled to meet arch rival George Grove in their IBF Super Middleweight championship rematch this 2014, said Pacquiao would surely consider retirement if he gets beaten again by Bradley.

"Yeah, it's a fair comment, he's late on in his career. Froch said in response to the question if Pacquiao should retire after another loss at the hands of Bradley via On the Ropes.

"What is he, thirty seven years old, thirty eight? He's in the twilight years and if he loses now in the rematch to somebody that he's already lost against then maybe the writing is on the wall, he'll decide that, see how the rematch goes first, see how the fight goes. But yeah, it's a fair comment to make," the Briton added.

Froch said the two losses he received at the hands Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012 should be a warning sign that Pacquiao is already declining, and another defeat in the ring could mean the end of his career.

"I don't really have a major opinion on it, but the question you asked was, would Manny Pacquiao consider retirement if he gets beat? He probably would do, he probably would consider retirement because he's had a couple of losses now late on in his career and where would he go if he lost to Bradley again,?" Froch said.

Then again, Froch also believed that a Pacquiao win in April 12 could catapult him back to discussion as the next opponent to Floyd Mayweather J, though he never thinks that fight would go down.

"He will probably want to beat Bradley and then get that fight that's never happened against Mayweather, and I couldn't see that happening if he lost to Bradley," added Froch, who will have his IBF belt at stake against Grooves on May 31 in London.
