Boxing News: Timothy Bradley Says His 'Speed' And 'One Of The Best Defense' Will Be Keys To Victory Against Diego Chaves
Timothy Bradley revealed that his "speed" and having "one of the best defense" will be keys to victory against Diego Chavez.
The pair will square off on December 13, both coming off from respective losses. The judges rendered a unanimous decision in favour Desert Storm's then foe, Manny Pacquiao, while La Joya disqualified against Brandon Rios.
"Speed kills, man," he told fighthype.com.
"When them punches coming (sic) at that head and that body...so fast...you know, guys are gonna get out of there."
"And then, defense, man. I have one of the (sic) best defense in boxing."
"So, I Think that the combination of my speed with my great defense, it's gonna give anybody problems."

After winning controversially against Pacquiao in 2012, the 31-year-old American redeemed himself against Ruslan Provodnikov in his following match, wherein he actively engaged with the Russian power-puncher in a slugfest, convincing not only the judges, but more importantly the crowd, that he deserved their vote after the fight went the distance.
However, Bradley is planning to take on a different and smarter approach against another powerful opponent in Chaves, who finished 19 of his 22 wins via knockouts.
"We have a game plan. All I want to do is follow the game plan and I should be okay in there," he said.
"It won't be another fight like Ruslan Provodnikov. Nah, I don't have that mindset going into this fight."
"I know I'm a very intelligent fighter. I know that I can box, I know I can brawl as well."
"But, you know, I just need to be smart in there. Diego Chaves is no slouch, he's a good fighter. So, I've got to definitely respect him. Respect his power, respect his craft."
The said event will be held at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.
