Mayweather is coming off a unanimous victory over Argentine Marcos Maidana to improve his immaculate record to 47-0. However, his win was eclipsed was a number of numerous intrigues.
There's the claim of Maidana bit his glove although the fighter was using a mouthpiece and his glove is heavily taped. Then, he teased fans of Pacquiao bout next year only to dismiss questions about it the next day. And now, there's the revelation that the series used to promote his last fight was heavily scripted. All Access showed some sensitive parts of the daily life of the sure-fire Hall of Fame boxer such as Mayweather chilling out with a number of his entourage who were smoking marijuana.
"It wasn't real marijuana," Mayweather revealed during his hearing with the Nevada State Athletic Commission Sept. 23. "It's all about entertainment.... I don't want to just sell a fight. I want to sell a lifestyle."
While the said admission had nothing to do with boxing, Pacman still took potshots at his rival as reported by USA Today Sports. The 35-year-old Filipino fighter is set to rumble with Chris Algieri in Macau on Nov. 22. The boxing world is still awaiting the mega-fight that is now five years delayed. Mayweather was adamant that as long as Top Rank's Bob Arum is involved, no match will take place between him and the Pacman.
