Brad Pitt Gives Update on Angelina Jolie’s Chickenpox: ‘She’s a Little Spotted and Itchy’
Angelina Jolie is “a little spotted and a little itchy,” her husband Brad Pitt gave an update on her condition. The “Fury” star filled in for his wife, who is suffering from chickenpox, at the “Unbroken” premiere on Monday.
On Fridaym, a bare-faced Jolie, 39, announced in a video that she will be withdrawing from her commitments for her directorial film “Unbroken” because she found out she has chickenpox the night before. As she said, the film means so much to her, so missing its promotional schedules is hard for her.
“I just want to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the ‘Unbroken’ events in the next few days, it’s just that I found out last night that I have chickenpox,” Jolie said in the video, her spots noticeable. “So I will be home itching and missing everyone. And I can’t believe it because this film means so much to me … but such is life, there it is.”

She was home itching, all right. Pitt revealed to E! News that the mother of his six children is a “little spotted and a little itchy” but the good news is her spirits are still high. Pitt, 50, attended her film’s premier at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood with three of their six kids, their sons Pax and Maddox, and their daughter Shiloh, who looked so much like a young Jolie.
The Jolie-Pitts all looked so dapper in dark suits. They were accompanied by their grandparents and Pitt’s parents, Jane and William Pitt.
Pitt also joked to ET, “She’s a little poka dotted, she’s like one of those connect the dots puzzles but her spirits are high and she’s doing good.”
Pitt and Jolie’s co-star, French actress Melanie Laurent, recently revealed what it’s like to work with the superstar couple. According to the 31-year-old actor/director, both are great to work with, describing the “dreamlike” months that she joined the couple in Malta to film “By the Sea.”
