Brad Pitt Says 'Happiness Is Overrated' In First Interview After Marriage To Partner Angelina Jolie
Brad Pitt looks different on the latest issue of British GQ magazine where he talks about his marriage to Angelina Jolie, his snobbish attitude towards directors, his take on happiness and what he feels about George Clooney, among other things. The actor sports a French beard with hints of grey hair as he poses for the cover page in a stylish overcoat.
The "Fury" actor was asked how getting married to his longtime partner Angelina Jolie changed his life and the actor did not dish out a lot. "I wouldn't say [marriage is] just a title. There's more to it than that," revealed Brad to GQ's November 2014 issue.
The actor was also full of praises for his "Fury" co-star Shia LaBeouf and called him "one of the best actors" he has ever come across. The 50-year-old further praised LaBeouf's level of commitment and added that he considers himself "fortunate" that he got a chance to work with him.
Brad, however, does not say the same for a lot of directors who approach him for work. The actor accepts the fact that he is a bit "snobbish" when it comes to working in a movie as the story has to be something "worth leaving" the home for.
But the "Fight Club" actor also revealed that he is slowing down in his career purposely to be with his children "before they are grown up and gone." The actor has three biological and three adopted kids with Angelina.
The talks then shift to Brad's best buddy George Clooney who called him "unapproachable" in one of his interviews. Brad accepts the fact that he indeed is not very social and is a bit of "loner." The actor further revealed that his friend George, however, is just his opposite and is extremely accessible.
Pitt called Clooney "funny as s-t and joy to be around" and at the same time called himself a "miserable bastard." Brad and Angie missed the ceremony when Clooney tied the knot with his girlfriend Amal Amalludin over the weekend in Venice.
The magazine further asked Brad if he is happy in life and his answer was a bit cryptic. The actor said that "happiness is overrated." "It's those difficult times that inform the next wonderful time and it's a series of trade-offs, of events, of wins and losses," said the actor to the magazine.
