Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has been sporting a new accessory these days. The actor was spotted walking with a cane earlier this week in Los Angeles and also at Palm Springs International Film Festival's Annual Awards Gala. The actor walked the red carpet with partner Angelina Jolie with the support of a cane. He then revealed the source of the injury.

Seeing the sexy "Moneyball" star walking with a cane has baffled fans. However, the actor revealed that he wiped out on a ski slope while carrying one of his daughters. Brad twisted his knee and suffered some ACL injury in the process. He suffered the knee injury instead in order to protect his daughter from the fall.

"It was me or her, and she's fine," said Brad, describing the incident. "I was carrying my daughter Vivienne down the hill and I slipped," the actor explained to reporters at the 23rd International Palm Springs Film Festival in Palm Springs California last Saturday.

Brad's longtime love and partner, Angelina Jolie, said she does not mind Brad's new adornment. "I like the cane," she told reporters, adding that the injury has not slowed Brad down. "He's not that kind of guy. He does everything still," Jolie said.

Thanks to dad Brad's valiant actions, Angelina said their daughter did not sustain any injuries. "Vivie's okay. She was absolutely fine," Angelina said. Jolie also revealed that she too has sustained an injury for the sake of her offspring before. "I think all parents get injured in the line of fire. When Maddox was young, I fell and hurt my elbow. It's a pretty common occurrence," she said.
