The captain for Sydney Roosters, Braith Anasta has signed a two-year contract extension, ending speculations of his future in the club.

The club made the announcement Monday highlighting that their star player has inked a new deal with Sydney Roosters and agreed to stay until the end of 2013 season.

The club’s captain expressed satisfaction on the deal.

“I couldn't be happier at the place,” Anasta told Fox Sports News. 'I'm here for another couple of years and I'm very happy”.

The star player noted that he has great plans on how he would end his career, if he decides to end his career.

'I love it, I'm the captain of the club, I'd like to finish my football here so it's good news for me,' Anasta was quoted as saying by the Fox Sports News.

The 29-year old player has been in the media spotlight shortly before the deal was made as Sydney Roosters claimed the club is not financially capable to offer their captain a new deal.
