Russell Brand and Katy Perry is interested in having their own little Justin Bieber.

The couple, who just got engaged in December, are big fans of the Canadian pop star. They even joked that they wanted to grow their own version of Bieber.

"Me and my fiancee love him. We want our own Justin Bieber. We can't have the actual one because he's busy with his work," Brand told E! TV show Daily 10.

"I understand he procreates by laying eggs in the sea and then we can fertilise these eggs and have our own Justin Biebers. We could grow Justin Bieber in a jar like sea monkeys."

The comedian also said that he is jealous of the other celebrity fans of the 16-year-old.

"What? My little Justin?," Brand joked when he was told about Kim Kardashian's "Bieber fever".

"Keep away, Kim. I'll neutralise you with my doctor mitts!"

Meanwhile, Perry may have shown Bieber some lovin', but she has shown the opposite to fellow pop star Lady Gaga, who recently released a religiously symbolic video for her latest single "Alejandro" which the Catholic church described as "decadent" and "abusive".

Perry wrote on Twitter: "Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke."

The Hot N Cold singer's parents, Mary and Keith Hudson, are both Christian pastors.
