"Better Call Saul" is one of the most awaited shows, scheduled to debut in November, 2014. It is a spin-off of the AMC's cult drama-series "Breaking Bad." Bob Odenkirk will reprise his role of Saul Goodman. Here is more good news for fans: a "Breaking Bad" cast member is joining Odenkirk in the new show.

Jonathan Banks, who portrayed Mike Ehrmantraut in "Breaking Bad," has been roped in to reprise his role of Mike Ehrmantraut. In the fifth season of "Breaking Bad," Walter White had killed Mike, putting an end to his story-line. The writing team of "Better Call Saul" will not be incorporating "Sherlock" like theory on how Mike survived. The time period of this spin-off is set before Goodman met Walter White, which means Mike is not dead yet. It is a prequel and not a sequel.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Banks will be joining "Better Call Saul" as a series regular. According to a brief synopsis of "Better Call Saul" [Source IMDB], the show will feature "the trials and tribulations of criminal lawyer, Saul Goodman, in the time leading up to establishing his strip-mall law office in Albuquerque, New Mexico."

There is no news on other "Breaking Bad" actors joining the cast-list of "Better Call Saul." However, one can expect cameos. Vince Gilligan, creator of "Breaking Bad" and "Better Call Saul," had said to The Hollywood Reporter: "We are plugging away on "Better Call Saul" -- in our fourth week in the writers' room on that -- and [executive producer] Peter Gould and I will be hitting up all these wonderful actors for cameos at some point. We have to figure out how to work that out, story-wise."

In the original series, Mike worked for Saul as a fixer, cleaner and private investigator. AMC has yet to announce a specific premiere date for "Better Call Saul."
