Breaking Bad will be graced by new cast members in its fifth and final season. Meanwhile, the media are speculating that Aaron Paul, who plays Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, may get another Emmy for his spectacular performance last season.

"Vanilla Sky" actress Laura Fraser, who has also been seen in Neil Gaiman's 1996 BBC fantasy series "Neverwhere as Door", enters the upcoming season in an "important role."

Fraser will be seen in the second episode as Lydia. Showrunner Vince Gilligan says Lydia is a "former associate of Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito). She is a key role in the development of Season 5.

Another new entry in the Emmy-acclaimed series is Jesse Plemons (Friday Night Lights). He was cast in May as Todd, a seemingly ordinary working-class fellow who crosses paths with Walt & Co.

Will Aaron Paul get another Emmy?

Paul, Emmy's Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2010, was celebrated for remarkably portraying Jesse's dark struggles in the series.

Last season's seventh episode, "Problem Dog" seems to have sealed the deal for another Emmy win for the actor.

Asked to reflect on the episode, Paul said his character was "just so lost."

"Jesse was just so lost in his world, and he's struggling with his demons and struggling with the fact that he killed Gale, possibly the nicest character that's ever existed on Breaking Bad," Paul told EW.

Paul's teaser on the coming season

On the coming season, Paul shares a bit on what to expect from Gus and Walt.

"It's not like Gus' face is being blown off over and over again - it's just much heavier.... Walt's been going down this dark rabbit hole for a very long time, and you see that he doesn't want to come out of it. It's not just about the money anymore. It's about much, much, much more. And he's dealing with some inner demons that he's been fighting his whole life."

Breaking Bad at Comic-Con

Breaking Bad fans should note that the upcoming season premiere will have an advanced screening ahead of its AMC run. The series will be showcased at the Comic-Con International on Saturday, July 14.
