The brains behind Breaking Bad have picked the fourteen line iambic sonnet, Ozymandias, written by British poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, to tease the audience of the critically acclaimed drama series. In the brief teaser, the deep voice of Walter White (Bryan Cranston) recites the sonnet as visuals of the vast expanse of New Mexico desert, a forlorn tree, barbed fence, RV, Walt's home, Walt's hat on the barren land flashes by, creating the impression of an ominous end.

The teaser does not provide any obvious clue but the bright visuals are consumed by the darker ones. The bright blue sky disappears into the backdrop of the night. The bright sunlight that provides a glimmer of hope to the forlorn tree is consumed by the dark clouds.

The teaser captures what shall stand tall and remain for the time to come and what will decay and become redundant with the passage of time. It has no shot of the characters, the mortals. The last three lines of the Sonnet provide the perfect description to the visuals in the teaser. There is the abandoned hat (signifying the colossal wreck) on the "lone and level sands stretch far away."

"Nothing beside remains. Round the decay

Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare

The lone and level sands stretch far away."

The teaser alludes to the fall of the almighty (Heisenberg) and the destruction of his crystal meth cooking business. It can be interpreted as the end to Walt's dual life. Will Walt also die? If he dies, will he die because his cancer returns or it's because his brother-in-law, DEA agent Hank (Dean Norris) will put him six feet under. The possibility is high that Walter White gets to live if one believes the reports of a spin-off of Breaking Bad that features Walt and his daughter Holly White.

The teaser video:

Percy Bysshe Shelley's Sonnet:

"Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand,

Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,

And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,

Tell that its sculptor well those passions read

Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,

The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed.

And on the pedestal these words appear --

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:

Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay

Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare

The lone and level sands stretch far away."

AMC's critically acclaimed drama series 'Breaking Bad' will return for its final eight episodes on August 11, 2013. The brains behind the drama series have ensured that there are no spoiler leaks.
