"Man of Steel" sequel has Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman and now according to reports, the evil man of "Breaking Bad," Walter White, is all set to transform into Lex Luthor, the most lethal enemy of Superman and other superheroes.

According to Cosmicbooknews.com, Bryan Cranston, who plays the role of Walter White in AMC's cult drama series "Breaking Bad," has been cast as Lex Luthor. The report suggests that he has signed on a multiple-movies deal. He is expected to appear in at least six movies. Also, it is likely that he may play the role of Lex Luthor in as many as ten movies.

In "Breaking Bad," the critically acclaimed drama series, Bryan Cranston's character transformed into a drug-lord Heisenberg from a mild-mannered Chemistry teacher. For the actor, 56, the role of Lex Luthor comes at the right time as "Breaking Bad" will be ending soon.

"Cranston is truly a dream casting for Luthor," a source said to Cosmicbooksnews.com

The movie "Man of Steel" is scheduled to begin shooting, next year and it is due to release in 2015.

Who is Lex Luthor?

Unlike Bryan Cranston's chemistry teacher character in Breaking Bad, Lex Luthor, created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, is a wealthy man. The powerful, madcap industrialist first made its appearance in 1940, in "Man of Steel," edition 23 of Action Comic Series. He is smart, intelligent and equipped with immense scientific knowledge. Superman is always there to stop his nefarious plans from succeeding, and thus one of the important goals of Lex Luthor is to kill Superman. According to "Superman Vs Lex Luthor" synopsis, "he fuels his hatred and jealousy towards superman into an unending war!

One of the most memorable quotes of Lex Luthor: "Enjoy your reign while you may, Superman. For as surely as night follows day...There comes a time when even gods must die."

Reports confirming his signing the deal has yet to come but it will be interesting to see Primetime Emmy winner Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor.
