"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn", the fourth film in the vampire franchise, will be having two parts, with its first half to be released on November 18, 2011, as confirmed by Summit Entertainment.

The announcement, which came ahead of the July 1 release of "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse", was expected. The studio has said before that author Stephanie Meyer's 900-page "Breaking Dawn" book was too complex for a single movie.

Summit originally signed the cast for only four movies but had to renegotiate costly deals with the now famous actors before the official announcement of the new plan could be made.

Shooting for the films will start in the fall. It will be directed by Bill Condon and the script written by Melissa Rosenberg. There is no scheduled release date for the fifth film as of now.

"Breaking Dawn" will concentrate on Bella's marriage with Edward, her pregnancy and her fulfilled yearning to become a vampire.

Stewart said that when her character Bella becomes one of the immortal creatures, she will be the "coolest vampire" of the cult.

"I've thought about it a lot, and I can't wait to actually be it. It's going to be a trip, it's going to be weird," she told reporters during interviews for the promotion of "Eclipse".

Summit claims that the first two films in the franchise earned more than $1.1 billion at the box office.
