Brendan Rodgers Warns Mario Balotelli About Life On Liverpool’s Bench
Mario Balotelli who scored just twice in a span of 15 appearances after his 16 million pounds move from AC Milan has landed him on the bench at Anfield. According to Brendan Rodgers, this is something that Balotelli must get used to. When the team needs him from the bench, he must be able to adjust to it and be ready. This is not something that only Balotelli experienced. In fact, this is the same for all other players.
This season, Balotelli has been reported not to be playing so well as a lone striker. Being placed under pressure doesn't also allow him to perform in accordance to his expected pacing and intensity game play performances.
Rodgers stated that the game wasn't really for Balotelli and some attributes of the Italian footballer need to be worked out. Rodgers added that bringing the best out of the players and their great qualities are worth trying in the first place. Despite, the trio's last three performances put them second during last season's league. Nonetheless, the most important thing now is Mario's availability after his ban. The squad will have another available player especially that Fabio Borini is unavailable.
Sunday's 2-2 draw at Anfield was achieved primarily through Sterling's forward line Adam Llana and Philippe Coutinho, which left Arsenal lifeless. Rodgers switch to 3-4-3 likewise greatly contributed to help the team restore what has been lacking all season. According to Rodgers, the team's at its best when the game's aggressive.
The focus of the team right now is to improve on playing around real aggressive pressure in order to dominate the ball. While longer-term seemed not to push the team to where they want to be, it wouldn't have had also taken them as near to nailing the league.
Regaining intensity and tempo seem to be the solution. Maximizing the players' great qualities and game play attributes draws the team closer. The team hopes to continue to be in the same vein all throughout and truly hopes their game play improves.
