Bring in the Craving: More Hunger Games Stills Released [PHOTOS]
Cravings for this much awaited movie aren't going to be curbed at all. In fact a whole new gallery of stills has been released this new year for the hungry fans of the "Hunger Games."
March 23 is a long wait especially for impatient fans which is why it is with great gratitude that Lionsgate has finally released more stills from Gary Marshall's film adaptation of Suzanne Collins' best-selling book, the "Hunger Games."
The stills, released by The Hollywood Reporter, show more of the heroine Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen. It also includes a few stills of the handsome Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorn, Elizabeth Banks as the colorful and almost unrecognizable Effie Trinket. Amanda Stenberg who plays Rue and Josh Hutcherson who plays Peeta are also included in the stills.
Apart from giving a few stills of the characters in the film, a few stills also show a few minor characters namely Katniss Everdeen's mentor, Woody Harrelson and the ever fashionable consultant, Cinna, played by Lenny Kravitz.
Despite given a few stills of the movie, it still is not enough to give fans a sneak peak on what might happen or what the games may actually look like which is of course a great thing. Some shots managed to highlight a few important events that would happen earlier in the film such as the one where Katnis is lead through the Arena accompanied by guards.
Another still shows Peeta and Haymitch caught in a serious conversation discussing battle strategies and another still showing Katniss talking to Gale. One still show the ridiculous looking Effie Trinket in an advertisement of nail polish which may be Linosgate way of trying to trim down the seriousness of the film with a lame effect for humor.
This futuristic film has already got fans on their toes wanting more each day. Who would think of a plot of a post apocalyptic tale of survival in an opulent Capitol would get readers hooked?
The trailer and a few stills may not pose as enough. Like the world's greatest franchise, "Harry Potter", the "Hunger Games" is surely another film franchise that will get the attention of the whole world. It already has.
