"Britain's Got Talent" singer Susan Boyle acquires £300,000 home
Despite previous claims of being broke
The Scottish singer Susan Boyle has move into a five-bedroom home in West Lothian. Boyle's new home is valued at £300,000.
The singer previously lived in a council house but had now abandoned it after an intruder was found in her old home. Fears for Susan Boyle's security led to plans for her to move into a newer house.
But will she have the money to furnish her new home?
Recently, Susan's brother complained that the singer live on 300 a week and that Susan Boyle told him that: "I don't have the money to go and buy the furniture."
"Her millions are ring-fenced but Susan has no concept of money. She was extremely distressed," Gerry, Susan's brother, said.
Boyle reportedly earned £10 million from the 8.5 million sold copies of her album "I Dreamed a Dream." She rose to fame on United Kingdom TV talent show "Britain's Got Talent" where she also rendered the titular single from her album. Susan Boyle's performance on the show draw an estimated 47 million views on Youtube.
Meanwhile, she will be performing for the Pope when the pontiff visits Scotland next month. Boyle will perform in the September 16 open air celebration of mass in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park.
