Britain's Queen Elizabeth Finally Meets her Great-Grandson Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II visited Keningston Palace, the London home of Prince Williams and Kate, on Wednesday to see her new great-grandson for the first time. Tuesday night was royal baby's, named George Alexander Louis,first night at his home with his parents.
The Queen, 87, made a brief visit to the Palace and then left for Buckingham Palace, according to a report by BBC. The Queen is said to be "thrilled" by the arrival of the new born, the third in the line to the throne.
Prince Williams and Kate Middleton revealed the name of their baby on Wednesday through a statement, possibly after informing the visiting Queen about the name chosen for the royal newborn.
The statement read: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son George Alexander Louis. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge."
The royal baby was born on Monday at the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital, London. He and his parents Prince Williams and Duchess of Cambridge had left St Mary's Hospital on Tuesday evening,
Talking about his son, Prince Williams told reporters on Tuesday, "He's got a good pair of lungs on him, that's for sure. He's a big boy, he's quite heavy."
"It's very emotional, it's such a special time," the Duchess of Cambridge said. "I think any parent will know what this feeling feels like."
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, and Kate's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, had visited the hospital to see the baby, on Tuesday afternoon, according to a BBC report.
