Britney Spears debuts her new single "Perfume" from her Britney Jean album. Posted a few hours ago from her Facebook account, "Perfume" tells about a former lover who is moving on to another woman.

Vulnerable and almost hurting, Britney sings her new single with so much emotion like she was telling a story from her own experience. In a recent interview with E! News, Spears reveals the story behind the song.

"'Perfume' is incredibly special to me because it hits close to home, and I think the story is relatable to everyone," says Spears. "Everyone's been through an insecure moment in a relationship that's left them vulnerable and I think this song captures that."

The song holds a special place in Spear's heart, and just like its lyrics that goes, "And I try to act natural. Have you been thinking 'bout her or about me? And while I wait I put on my perfume, yeah I want it all over you. I gotta mark my territory."

Co-written by Sia Furler, "Perfume" is produced by will.i.am, Chris Braide and Keith Harris.

Britney Jean

Britney Spears' upcoming eight studio album, Britney Jean is set to be released on November 29, 2013 by RCA Records. This will be her first record since she ended her contract with Jive Records in 2011 and the album describes as Spears' most personal album.

Unlike her previous album, Spears assumed an important role in its production and collaborated with other artists and producers including Sia Furler and will.i.am. "Perfume" is the second single after she releases "Work Bitch," the first single of the album, on September 16, 2013 and debuted at number 12 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

Not like her previous releases, Britney promoted "Work Bitch" in Good Morning America including her announcement for a two-year to perform in Las Vegas residency show at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino., entitled Britney: Piece of Me. The show will have its debut on December 27, 2013 and will run through 2015.
