Britney Spears: Arrives In Style To Announce Vegas Residency (With Video)
The 31-year old singer Britney Spears never runs out of style as she arrives dramatically aboard a helicopter in Nevada's Mojave dessert early morning of September 17, 2013. The Grammy Award singer is finally confirming a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino on ABC's "Good Morning America."
The pop star was greeted by 1,300 screaming fans, some were dressed like the singer's signature schoolgirl look for her debut single video "Baby One More Time. Some fans are wearing the Britney Spears t-shirt who bused to the remote location in the wee hours of the morning holding giants cards that formed a 10-story-tall picture of her.
'I love it here. The energy here is really, really good,' she said, after she arrived sporting a sexy black top slashed to the wait. She added, "This is such a sweet thing to do,I don't even know what to say. I'm speechless. This is shocking."
"Britney: Pieces of Me" will debut on December 27, 2013, just in time for Las Vegas' massive new year crowd where she is set to perform 50 shows each in 2014 and 2015. The singer will be paid a whopping $310,000 per show in a 90-minute performance, tickets price will range from $59 to $179.
After all the rumors and hint dropping, Britney say's that her Las Vegas show will feature the singer's greatest hits as well as a new material from her upcoming album.
'I am going to have to put my new material in it to keep it fresh,' she said, revealing she has been training five hours a day for the new shows. 'I'm definitely ready,' she added.
Her new single "Work B***h will be on her eighth studio album which still remains untitled and will be released on December 3, 2013. The album features lyrics relating to britney's recent breakup with ex-fiance Jason Trawick.
'I wrote a lot about [that],' she said. 'I think everybody can relate to that. I think to them, they want to know that a superstar goes through the same process of a breakup as they do. They suck. Breakups suck.'
