Britney Spears cleared of child abuse charges
The child abuse investigation on Britney Spears has been dismissed after the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services has ruled there is no case for the 28-year old pop star to answer.
Britney's former bodyguard Fernando Flores alleged she was an unfit mother to her two sons, Sean Preston, four, and three-year-old Jayden James, but "the department said there was absolutely no truth to the accusations," a source said.
"Sean and Jayden's pediatricians submitted documentation that the boys were healthy and that they have never seen any signs of abuse.
"The case was officially closed after the department received that information from the boys' doctor."
Social workers had checked Britney's house after Fernando, 29, claimed she had been hitting one of the kids and giving them food they were allergic to.
A source close to the Toxic singer the called the claims "absolutely outlandish and absurd" and reiterated the pop star "would never lay a hand on either one of her sons, she loves them so much".
The boys regularly spend time between Britney's Beverly Hills mansion and Kevin Federline's house.
Former policeman Fernando recently resigned as Britney's bodyguard after accusing her of sexually harassing him by constantly walking around naked in his presence.
"Working for Britney is tough," a source said. "She's a nightmare to deal with and her emotions are totally out of control. She runs round the house naked and yelling at staff."
