Jamie Spears reportedly bagged a small fortune for managing his superstar daughter's recent "Femme Fatale" tour.

According to TMZ, the judge in Britney Spears' conservatorship case awarded Spears $537,987.37 as base pay for his services. This amount does not include the 2 percent commission he will receive from Britney's personal manager Larry Rudolph's own 10 percent cut of the gross for the services he rendered on the tour. This commission has to be formally approved by the court.

In addition, Spears is asking for an extension of his conservatorship fee that stands at $16,000 monthly.

The earnings of the older Spears will total in seven figures by the time the "Femme Fatale" tour closes.

It sounds like an extravagant amount, but sources say Spears saved his daughter more than a million dollars by doing the work of five people on the tour. Court documents say Spears negotiated with the tour promoter Live Nation, coordinated Britney's hectic personal schedule, handled financial matters, managed his daughter's security and took charge of communications on the hitmaker's behalf.

Spears has helped his daughter in more ways than managing his tour. A source revealed in August that the songstress credits her father with "saving her life."

"Britney now recognizes that if her father hadn't stepped in and taken the action that he had, well, Britney is now crediting Jamie for saving her life," an insider divulges in an exclusive interview with Radar Online.

Their relationship has survived amidst scandals in the media that painted Jamie Spears as an overbearing father.

Even Courtney Love took to social media in 2009, ranting about Spears supposedly molesting Britney as a child.

"Britney's dad molested her," she writes on her Facebook page. "Imagine the father that molested you owning you for slavery while you're forced to sing songs for their sexual content every night, insane right?"

According to sources, the father and daughter are now closer than ever.

"Britney's relationship with her dad is in a very, very good place right now," the source adds. "She was extremely emotional backstage before leaving for the VMAs and kept telling her daddy how much she loves him."
