Britney Spears Fulfills A Terminally Ill Man's Wish

Britney Spears may be having bad days after the recent split from her cheating ex-boyfriend with leaked sex tapes online, but the singer still managed to show she has a golden heart, especially reflected by her recent act.

Spears was said to have tried her best to fulfill the wish of a terminally ill man. As reported by the Huffington Post, Cory Moraw, 28, of Texas has been suffering from DiGeorge syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, and diabetes. He has been battling with this disease since birth. In addition, the illness has affected his immune system. Cory, a diehard fan of Spears, was recently diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. The combined effect of these diseases has shortened the 28-year-old's life span, giving him a maximum of only five more years to live.

The family of Cory has set up a fundraising page for him, which shared that despite becoming less active lately, he was still very keen to attend a Britney Spears live concert.

"If ever there was a No. 1 Britney fan, it would hands-down HAVE to be Cory," his step-sister, Erica, wrote on the fundraising page. "There is only one thing in this world that Cory would feel like doing ... that would be to see Britney Spears LIVE," she added.

As per KLTV, Moraw's wish was eventually granted by the American entertainer. Special efforts were undertaken by the celebrity's team. On a very short notice, Moraw and his family were given first class plane tickets and VIP passes to Spears' Las Vegas concert, which was held on August 19.

Cory also received several signed posters and numerous t-shirts. He was granted the opportunity to spend an exclusive fifteen-minute interaction with the celebrity, which was a longer period compared with those given to anyone else present in the concert. However, the family had to cut the trip short after Cory began feeling extremely unwell, as told to KLTV. Nonetheless, the family claimed that the time spent by Spears with Cory has been more than everything they had hoped for.

Spears has been a recipient of many awards, such as Grammy Award, six MTV VMAs, nine Billboard music awards and a star on Hollywood Walk Of Fame, for her outstanding contributions to the music industry. In addition, Spears is involved actively in other philanthropic works. The singer has founded The Britney Spears Foundation, which is a charitable entity set up to help children in need.
