Britney Spears had been cleared by child authorities in Los Angeles from the allegations that she is unfit to take care of her two sons, according to U.K. reports. The pop star's former bodyguard Fernando Flores said he had reported Spears to the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services, believing she was too unstable to look after her kids.

Los Angeles social workers took action and launched an investigation into the pop star. But now they have ruled in favor of Spears, saying there was "absolutely no truth" to the allegations, Britain's The Sun reports.

"Flores is an opportunist," a family source told the publication.

The bodyguard left his post when Spears allegedly walked around naked in front of him and might press charges on sexual harassment against his former employer.
