Britney Spears wins the Style Icon award at the 2015 Teen Choice Awards: dedicates the award to her sons

Britney Spears is 33-years-old and a mommy of two sons but she is still the top style icon choice for teenagers at the recent Teen Choice Awards. The “Pretty Girls” songstress took home the Candie's choice Style Icon award at the Sunday night event.

For the award night, Spears wore a stylish low cut Mikael D mini dress in grey colour, Sydney Morning Herald writes. The dress had an extremely short front, which barely covered her thighs. She covered her bosom with two silver coloured strips in the front. The star wore matching jewellery by designer Jennifer Meyer, added the website.

The pop singer also experimented with her hairstyle. She coloured the ends of her hair in purple and green streaks and let them flow freely on her shoulders. The songstress dedicated her award to her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and niece Lexie, who was also present in the audience to cheer for her.

During her acceptance speech, Spears said she loves experimenting with fashion as it gives her a chance to be herself. “Fashion has always been something I love to experiment with. It gives us all a chance to express ourselves in our own personalities, and shine in our own way,” Spears is quoted by Sydney Morning Herald as saying.

She also gave the following message to the teens: “Be fearless in your choices, and don’t be afraid to be yourself.” Spears has been a hot favourite with the Teen Choice Awards in the past. She has won eight Teen Choice Awards in the past, including the 2009's Ultimate Teen Choice Awards.

Spears was nominated for two other awards at the event--Choice Song: Female Artist and Choice Music: Collaboration for her song with Iggy Azalea, "Pretty Girls." She is currently busy with a year long residency in Las Vegas with her show, “Britney: Piece of Me.”
