Brooke Shields Recalls Losing Her Virginity And Talks About Her Alcoholic Mother In Her Upcoming Book
Brooke Shields has had a very eventful life and has now decided to let the world know about that. The 49-year-old actress has revealed all about her interesting love life, her alcoholic mother, her relationships with famous personalities and many other aspects of her life in her upcoming book "There Was a Little Girl."
The famous actress admits that she had a tumultuous relationship with her alcoholic mother Teri Shields, who was also her manager. The "Blue Lagoon" actress remembers the time as a child when her mother would leave her at neighbour's house to go to her parties. When she grew up a bit, Brooke's mother went to the extent of organising dates for her with celebrity men.
"Even though I understood her better than anybody else, I'm not sure I ever understood her fully," the former model writes about her mom in her upcoming book, the excerpts have been obtained by People magazine.
Brooke, 50, also revealed in the book that she lost her virginity when she was 22-years-old. The guy was actor Dean Cain, who was also her classmate at Princeton University. The actress writes in her book that she was so scared when she had sex with Dean the first time because she felt her mother was "watching" her even when she was not physically present there. Brooke is of the opinion that her mother did not want her to lose her virginity at a very young age.
"I was buck naked streaking down a hallway and running like I had just stolen someone's wallet," writes the actress about the time she lost her virginity to Dean, according to People's magazine.
Apart from her complicated relationship with her mother Teri Shields, who died in 2010 at the age of 79, Brooke also discusses her relationship with ex-husband Andre Aggasi. The two divorced because of certain differences but Brooke still credits the tennis star for helping her get out of her mother's mental trap. The gorgeous actress, who was once famous for her bushy eyebrows, also talks about her almost platonic relationship with late singer Michael Jackson, whom she called a "little kid" who was curious about dating.
"There Was a Little Girl: The Real Story of My Mother and Me," is scheduled for release in bookstores on November 18.
