"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is all set to return for its second season and according to executive producer Mike Schur of FOX the show is suppose to surprise the fans. Reportedly, season 2 would not start from where the season 1 left, rather there is going to be a time leap.

The premiere episode is speculated to show Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) to go on an undercover mission. In Season 1 finale Jake decided to work in secret for FBI. He had decided to leave precinct. Jenny Slate would guest star in the first episode as Bianca. She would be helping Jake in taking down the criminal organization.

"You're never going to see a giant puddle of blood, unless it's so comedically huge that it comes all the way around and becomes funny again," Mike further said about the undercover mission to Zap2It, adding, "I would say the same is true with the undercover assignment -- we were discussing how much of it to see, how little to see ... and it was like, this has to be funny."

Moreover, Jake would also confess his feelings to Detective Amy Santiago, played by Melissa Fumero. Since season 1 there is an underlying romance between the two and in season 2 their relationship may take flight.

Schur has also said that though romantic liaison would be shown between Jake and Amy, that would not be the focal point of the season. Relationship of Detective Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) and Gina Linetti (Chelsea Peretti) would also go through major changes as their life would get even more complex.

"We came up with the twist ending of Charles and Gina fairly early on, as a way to complicate everyone's world heading into Season 2," said Schur about their relationship according to Bustle.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 2 premiere episode airs on September 28 at 8:30 PM on Fox. The cast of the show includes Andy Samberg, Stephanie Beatriz, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe LoTruglio, Chelsea Peretti and Andre Braugher.
