With "Just the Way You Are" now on its third week on Billboard's Hot 100 chart top spot, Bruno Mars should be celebrating his birthday with a bang tomorrow in the United States, as he turns 25 this year.

However, the elation that Bruno Mars and fans might be experiencing is dampen by a possible four years in prison and $5000 fine.

Mars is at present troubled with felony charge from his arrest last month for alleged possession of 2.6 grams of cocaine after his performance at a Las Vegas club. He will be appearing before the court on November 18.

But Billboard editor Craig Marks said that Bruno Mars' arrest won't drastically affect the singer-composers career.

"I don't think he meant it to come off that way, but his recent arrest shows that he has a little bit of edge I suppose," Marks told Associated Press.

Marks said Mars' arrest may have introduced the singer to an even wider audience than he would have prior to his arrest.

"It's not the best kind of publicity and hopefully it doesn't really indicate some kind of deeper problem... but the fact is that I don't think it will harm his following."

Bruno Mars' image has been an easy-going type of artist, but never a dangerous type which explains why his drug arrest came as a surprise to fans. Mars is featured in this year's two hottest hits: Travie McCoy's "Billionaire" and B.o.B's "Nothin' on You." His single "Just the Way You Are," is currently spending its third week on top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Mars is part of the Smeezingtons which includes Philip Lawrence and Ari Levine. Among the hits, Smeezingtons produced are Flo Rida's "Right Round," K'Naan's "Wavin' Flag" and Cee Lo's "(Expletive) You!."
