The controversial cocaine possession case of pop star, Bruno Mars, got dismissed after he completed all the court requirements of doing community service and attending classes on drug education. In fact, Mars even went beyond his required number of hours.

Mars, or Peter Hernandez in real life, was put under arrest last September of 2010 after he was caught carrying a bag of cocaine in his Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel room. According to police reports, his guilty plead of drug possession made him go through drug counsel, a total of 200 hours community service, and a $2,000 fine.

With his strict compliance on the orders of the court, his original plea was not taken into account which means he would not have it recorded in his personal criminal records.

The 26-year-old singer hit the charts of the music industry after collaborating with rappers and other artists to come up with songs like 'Nothin' On You,' 'Billionaire,' and 'Grenade.' Now his most recent single is featured in the soundtrack of Twilight's 'Breaking Dawn Part 1' entitled 'It Will Rain.'

In the entertainment industry, it has been common to find a lot of celebrities and artists who come to the peak of their career be suddenly defocused by such vices like alcoholism or drug abuse. Bruno Mars is not the only one to have been swayed by cocaine but also other familiar names in the entertainment world.
