Sorry, Brisbane. Bruno Mars wasn’t able to come there and perform. The Grammy Award-winning American singer-songwriter cancelled his concert on Friday due to an unnamed illness.

Bruno, 28, was scheduled to perform at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on March 7. But an announcement on the day before has put the sold-out show on hold.

Instead, he has rescheduled his concert on the 13th, Thursday.

“Due to illness, Bruno Mars’ sold-out performance tomorrow night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre – Friday March 7 – will not proceed and has been rescheduled to Thursday March 13 at the same venue,” promoter Live Nation announced.

Tickets for the March 7 concert are valid for the rescheduled show. Ticketholders who are unable to attend on Thursday are eligible for refund, provided that they contact Ticketnet before 5 pm on Tuesday, March 11.

“Brisbane! I’ll see you in a few days. Being sick sucks but I’ll make it up to you. Thank you for understanding,” Bruno also tweeted on Friday.

Bruno’s other Aussie dates are not affected.

He is in the country since late February to commence his Moonshine Jungle Australian tour on February 28 in Perth. He will also be in Sydney to perform at the Sydney Entertainment Centre on March 8, Allphones Arena on March 10 and 11.

He will also be at the Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand on the 15th and 16th.

The Moonshine Jungle Tour began in June 2013 and is expected to conclude in September 2014. It includes dates in the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Caribbean, and Asia.
