Before Bullying A Contestant With Wife Natalia Kills, Fired ‘The X Factor New Zealand’ Judge Willy Moon Called A Woman ‘C---‘ Over A Parking Dispute
Sacked “The X Factor New Zealand” judge Willy Moon was involved in another confrontation incident before he teamed up with wife Natalia Kills in humiliating a contestant on Sunday. On March 10, the singer apparently swore at a woman in a crowded bakery in Auckland following a parking dispute. He refused to apologise even after TV3 claimed he was sorry.
In a letter to Moon, obtained by the NZ Herald, 51-year-old Tracey Neal-Gailer detailed how the Kiwi crooner verbally abused her in front of the bakery’s customers, some of which are children. According to her, she was driving her vehicle left into the carpet as Moon was trying to turn right from the opposite direction. This meant she had the right of way. But as Moon was based overseas for years, he might not be aware of the new rule.
The driving manoeuvre enraged Moon so much that he had to get out of his car and shout at her. It wasn’t that Neal-Gailer took the last parking space available as there were still a lot of other vacant spaces. Nevertheless, he continued shouting and pointing his finger at the older woman.
That wasn’t the end of it, though. After Neal-Gailer was “told off” in the carpark, they both proceeded to go inside the bakery. Moon was still incensed with what he perceived as Neal-Gailer’s transgression. He “hissed” the “C” word at her in front of the bakery’s staff and customers.
“Can I suggest a short brush-up course on the current road rules and perhaps some anger management therapy? The groups that you are supposedly ‘mentoring’ are very likely to annoy you at some point and we wouldn’t want any embarrassing, misogynist and potentially actionable, outbursts caught on camera, would we?” Neal-Gailer advised.
TV3 told the Herald that Moon regretted his actions towards the woman in question, saying the 25-year-old “Yeah Yeah” singer will be “more thoughtful in his choice of language in the future.” However, Moon doesn’t seem to be regretful.
He continued to call Neal-Gailer names, claiming she was lying. He also reiterated that the woman was deserving of the curse word he spat at her.
Moon’s Defender
These posts were retweeted by his wife, who proved on Sunday that she really was his defender. Kills infamously verbally abused “X Factor” contestant Joe Irvine for allegedly copying her husband’s style. She called him “artistically atrocious,” “disgusting” and a “laughingstock among many other insults, adding that she was ashamed to be there with him.
Moon seconded Kills, telling Irvine that he was cheap and absurd. He compared him to Norman Bates, the killer in “Psycho.”
The husband and wife were immediately fired from the show following viewers’ outrage. The two didn’t seem to have gathered support from anyone, even their fellow judges Melanie Blatt and Stan Walker, as well as host Dominic Bowden, thought it was the right decision to fire them.
Moon was noticeably silent on social media, but Kills was not sorry, claiming she had “the most fun” on Sunday because she had gathered new followers. She also thanked her supporters for understanding her “passionate opinions” on Twitter.
Not the first time…
By now, Moon and Kills have earned the reputation of short-tempered duo. The bakery incident and the bullying scene on Sunday’s show weren’t the only times they were seen losing their cool in public. In December, TV3 was forced to apologise to the studio audience during the audition filming in Auckland. During a stressful scene, Kills shouted and cursed at the audience, which included children. TV3 claimed Kills apologised for her actions, but it appeared that, like Moon over the bakery incident, she wasn’t sorry at all.
