Inspired from a true story, Lee Daniel's "The Butler," took the box office by storm this weekend with the whopping collection of $25million.

The Weinstein Company's awards-bait drama starring Forest Whitaker as White House Butler and Oprah Winfrey as his drunkard wife, released with the Steve Jobs biopic and action caper "Kick-ass 2."

The makers of the film are surprised with the bumper opening of the film and they told online.wsj.com, "We expected a good opening but this is unbelievable. "The Butler" is the company's No.1 debut since 2009's "Inglourious Basterds" directed by Quentin Tarantino".

The star presence of Oprah Winfrey has indeed helped in luring the audience, but the script based on a true incident of racism involving a elderly women has been instrumetal for the stupendeous response. It has even passed the $17. 8 million mark of Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis last week release "We are the Millers".

Along with the strong storytelling, Winfery's marketing strategy has given "The Butler" an edge over the other films, especially Steve Jobs biopic which could barely manage to garner, $6.7 million and the teenage drama, "Kick-Ass -2" which notched the fourth place with 13.6 miilion.

"We are the Millers" a comedy caper from Warner Bros has plummeted by 33 percent from $17.8 million since its relase last weekend and has done an overall business of $69.5 milion. The profit of the film is more than what has gone into its making ($37 million). As predicted by onlinewsj.com, in no time the film would surpass the mark of $100 million, making it a second blockbuster for Sudeikis after the "Horrible Bosses" (in which he had teamed up with Jennifer Aniston).

So what so you think IBTimes readers, with "The Butler" opening to such a befitting response, Can "We are the Millers" keep up its momentum?
