Bystander Injured In Alleged Drunk Drive Accident
Two cars collided at 12th Avenue and Main Street earlier on Monday as it critically injured a 38-year-old man.
The accident happened at about 11 am while one of the vehicles crashed into an adjacent building after both cars had collided, according to the Vancouver Police. The injured civilian was standing innocently on the street when the accident took place. He became the unlikely victim of the accident.
The man was found inside the wreckage of the building where one of the cars had crashed into. One of the witnesses of the accident is Heidi Berndt who lives near where the accident took place. She informed that the sound of a transport van flipping over and the subsequent sound of the tyres screeching had woken everyone up in the locality. She went out immediately from her building to find out what exactly was going on.
There was a car inside Odenza Homes, as she informed what she had seen earlier. There was glass shattered all over the place. She further informed that the car, which had been smashed, was crushed. A Langley woman was driving the vehicle which hit the building. The woman is 23 years old. Another woman who is 49 years old from Vancouver was driving the other car.
Investigations are going on at the moment to find out the reasons behind such an accident which injured an innocent bystander. There has been enough suspicion to believe that alcohol consumption was responsible for the accident. Both the drivers were hospitalised after they had been found injured. On the other hand, the injuries were found to be minor. One of the drivers has already been released from the hospital.
