‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 3’ April Double XP weekend coming as dev gives new glimpse of Zombies with new trailer
Double XP weekends are becoming more frequent for players of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.” Treyarch has just announced another 2XP weekend for April.
Announced via the official Twitter of Treyarch, the Double XP will be for multiplayer and zombies. It will start on April 15, 10 a.m. PDT and will end on April 18 at 10 a.m. PDT.
This is a great way for players to prepare and level up their game before the expected arrival of the “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” Eclipse DLC, which is set the next day after the double XP weekend.
The double XP event also comes before the “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” 1.09 update. The April update is expected to bring some hotfixes alongside a few additions to the game. Gotta Be Mobile reported that while there are no major gameplay changes, the hotfix will be dealing with players who use cheats and hacks to progress in the game.
Lastly, to hype up the upcoming Eclipse DLC, Activision has released a new trailer featuring the DLC Pack. The Zetsubou no Shima trailer sees more action on the uninhabited island previously teased in an earlier trailer.
The enemy zombies are more than just the average previously human zombies. There are also some gigantic spiders and rapidly growing plants that surround the island and spring traps, as seen in the video below. The DLC pack also features the abandoned site where failed experiments are given a second undead life.
In the trailer, a couple of weapons can also be seen, including a monkey bomb. The propellers on an airship is also creatively used to slice and dice a couple of undead enemies.
The “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” Eclipse DLC will be released on April 19 on the PS4. It will bring in four multiplayer maps, namely Knockout, Spire, Rift and Verge. No announcement has been made on when it will arrive on the Xbox One and PC yet.
