Call of Duty: Ghosts vs. Battlefield 4: Onslaught DLC Dated; AMD Mantle Gets 45% Performance Boost, China Rising Cut Events Revealed
Xbox One and Xbox 360 users may have first dibs on the upcoming DLC for "Call of Duty: Ghosts," if a recent leak is to be believed.
Titled "Onslaught," the DLC was leaked via a photo from Twitter user SeriousSix2010 supposedly from GameStop. According to Joystiq, the time exclusivity for Xbox users is still in place, timed for a Jan 28 release date as promised.
In addition to the photo leak, the poster has also detailed what can be found in the DLC, which includes four maps, Fog, Ignition, Containment and Bayview. There's also a Maverick AR & Sniper Rifle as well as the first of four episodes heading to the Extinction Mode.
Season pass holders will get the DLC for free, though the price for the individual "Onslaught" DLC has not yet been revealed.

China Rising Events Were Cut From DLC
"Battlefield 4" has not yet delivered quite a positive impact among gamers, as it follows after a string of negative publicity caused by "Battlefield 4" and issues that EA is dealing with.
However, it seems that fans are in for more surprises, as one Redditor has found that several content were cut from the China Rising DLC. Escapist Magazine has spotted a post from Redditor Dirtyfatfingers, who had uncovered sound files and content after going through "Battlefield 4."

It seems that the biggest cut made was that China Rising should have had Levolution events but were nowhere in the China Rising maps. It's a letdown considering how hyped up the Levolution feature was before "Battlefield 4" was even released.
In addition, some of the maps should have had more conditions added to them, like Altai Range should have had a snowstorm, Silkroad with a sandstorm and Guilin Peaks with heavy fog. With EA is still battling its own issues with the game, it seems that the production of the next DLC for "Battlefield 4" is still on halt. Hopefully, there will be fewer cuts and more included events in the upcoming DLC.
Delayed AMD Mantle Patch Boosts 'Battlefield 4' Performance
Even though the AMD Mantle Patch meant for "Battlefield 4" has been delayed, EA was able to showcase what it really does at CES 2014---and it seems that there will be even better performance (up to 45 per cent) once the update is released.

According to WCCF Tech, the update should have enabled support for AMD graphics API Mantle and would have brought a 10 per cent improvement in the games' performance.
In a separate interview, it was found that AMD had confirmed that a January release is scheduled for the Mantle patch. In a video found by PC Gamer, it seems that there are still lags in the game, but Mantle support does promise better performance and it has already been used in just around 20 games.
