‘Call of Duty Infinite Warfare’ dev shows off SATO vehicles, pricing error to be honoured at Argos
Infinity Ward has given a few more insights to the weapons and vehicles that will be coming to “Call of Duty Infinite Warfare.” For starters, the design for SATO fleet’s Retribution was showcased in a recent Facebook Live event.
Spotted by VG 247, the event discussed the design and some functions of the ships. For instance, Retribution is supposed to be the hub for the commander and crew. Players can also choose their destinations on the map that is similar to the solar system.
Jackal, which is another SATO vehicle will be among the lineup of fighter vehicles. It will be used in “Call of Duty Infinite Warfare” only for space battles and dog fights. According to the developer, the design was to give it the best of both worlds—which means letting it fly over the skies as well as head off to space.
Finally, here’s also the Raven, which appears to be more of a support rather than an aggressive vehicle. The job of the Raven is to drop off personnel, equipment and other ground combat vehicles. This sounds almost like a transport vehicle for the SATO fleet.
Argos cheaper preorders to be honoured
There was also a recent and interesting development for players who may have filed their preorders for “Call of Duty Infinite Warfare” via Argos. Videogamer spotted a statement from the company, which reassured fans that it will honour wrongly-priced preorders that occurred over the weekend.
According to the report, preorders for both the PS4 and Xbox One versions were brought down to £39.99 (approx. AU$70), which is cheaper by £30 (approx. AU$50) of the original price.
The store had admitted that it was a pricing error. However, there were also a handful of players who placed their preorders and voiced some concerns about the company having to honour this. Now it seems that the company has opted to honour the deal instead of cancelling and refunding its customers.
The price of the game is already back to its usual £69.99 (approx. AU$120). “Call of Duty Infinite Warfare” will be out on Nov. 4. The Legacy edition of the game will contain a remastered version of “Call of Duty Modern Warfare.”
