Calvin Harris: Scottish DJ denies collaboration with Kanye West, claims he wants 'nothing to do' with ex Taylor Swift
The rumours of a collaboration between the two artists were put to rest
Scottish DJ and Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris has stated that he did not have any plans of collaborating with Kanye West. The 32-year-old musician reasoned that he did not want anything to do with his former romantic partner, who he once threw shade at through Twitter.
According to TMZ, there were rumours that the electronic pop composer wanted to make a song with the "Flashing Lights" rapper. However, it was revealed that neither Kanye nor Calvin has talked to each other or discussed about collaborating. The two share a mutual respect despite the limited interaction.
Sources from the news site said that Calvin was not yet ready to work with Kanye because he wanted some time away from being linked to Taylor. In other words, he needed to cool down from the drama and issues regarding his breakup with the Grammy Award-winning artist. Perez Hilton adds that Calvin also wanted to stay out of the feud between his ex and the KimYe couple regarding the "Famous" controversy.
Calvin was spotted hanging out with Yeezy's wife, Kim Kardashian-West, during Jennifer Lopez's birthday bash in Las Vegas. Hollywood Life reports that the Calvin and Kim did not talk about music or Taylor. They simply had a casual conversation. Aside from that, Calvin was hoping he could settle things between him and the "Out of the Woods" singer.
“Calvin has been in contact with Taylor and is looking to have a truce with her moving forward," a source from Hollywood Life said in an exclusive report. "It is still touch and go and he can see it not working out, but after the drama with his song and everything else, he is considering on moving on as long as she doesn’t put up any issues or drama to the situation."
