Perhaps he wants to be the next David Beckham. Calvin Klein model Myles Crosby makes a big jump from modeling to playing football.

A six-figure income, the luxury to travel around the world and meet A-list people and to have your name and your face on the pages of magazines. Who wouldn't want a life like that? Well, 18-year-old Myles Crosby decided that he'd ditch the glam life for the chance to play college football.

For someone who has been in Calvin Klein ad campaigns and was able to secure the 11th spot in Models.com, some might be thinking that Crosby is out of his mind. Myles chose to quit modeling to play under the Southern Methodist University next fall.

"This modeling crap could only last another year, and then I'd have no education and never get to play football. I'd regret it for the rest of my life," clearly Crosby was thinking long term.

According to Texas HS Football on Twitter, Myles Crosby has signed with SMU. He most certainly sacrificed a large sum of money and chose to be a less famous part of a larger team.

But to those who are judging his intent of pursuing his dreams and maybe being part of the NFL one day, realize what he is giving up. When he was 17-years-old, Crosby became one of the youngest stars to pose for a Calvin Klein ad for jeans. To name a few, he has graced the covers of GQ, Vanity Fair and Esquire magazine.

At his rate, he could easily be climbing at the top of the modeling ladder. But Myles chose to withdraw from a promising future in the modeling industry before his big break.

"I'm told I'm so stupid by every single person. That every single person in my shoes should drop out of school now and go make the money. I have a passion for football and I want an education," Crosby said.

Crosby might have turned down a big opportunity in modeling but who knows, he might be giving way to an even bigger future in football.
