Cameron Diaz and Penelope Cruz are having a girly bonding in the hottest way possible onscreen. The award-winning actresses are seen lounging topless (well, almost) in the new still for their movie “The Counsellor.”

The thriller flick has an impressive line-up, with Javier Bardem, Michael Fassbender, and Brad Pitt joining Cameron and Penelope in the cast. 20th Century Fox has just released its first trailer, and it looks very promising.

This is the second time the women have appeared together in film. The first one, in “Vanilla Sky” in 2001, saw them as rivals, but in this film, they seem to be friendly with each other. A little too friendly, in fact, judging on the way they appear to be touching each other.

In the still obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Cameron and Penelope appear to be in a spa to relax. With only towels barely covering their breasts, the two enjoy a carefree day just sultrily eyeing and touching each other.

What happens before or after the scene is still unknown, but if they decided to take off their towels and just go au natural, that would be just fine.

Both women are no strangers to nude scenes in front of camera. Cameron starred in the soft core bondage movie “She’s No Angel” at age 19, while Penelope appeared totally naked in a French TV show in 1991. She was also nude in her feature film debut “Jamon, Jamon” when she was just 18.

The boys aren’t modest either. Javier, Penelope’s real life husband, was also nude in “Jamon, Jamon,” while Brad has been showing off skin since his “Thelma and Louise” days. He got in the buff for “Troy” and “Fight Club” as well.

As for Michael, well, who can forget his turn as the sex addict Brandon in “Shame?” The award-winning actor went for full frontal nudity in the controversial film.

“The Counsellor,” directed by Ridley Scott and written by Cormac McCarthy, will hit theatres in October.
