"Sex Tape" stars Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel were called into the KIIS 106.5's Kyle & Jackie O show for an interview on Monday, July 21, that promotes their new film. The conversation between the 41-year-old actress and radio host started smoothly and lighthearted but the tone immediately turned sour after the Aussie host slammed Cameron's BFF Drew Barrymore.

According to the Us Weekly report, the interview shifted into an unpleasant one starting with the mention of actress Giselle Eisenberg. Host Jackie O admitted that the young actress, who portrays Diaz and Segel's daughter in the film, reminded her of a young Drew Barrymore in the film "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial."

"Aw, yeah! She does, now that you mention it. And she's as bright and lively as Drew is, as well. She's a sweet little girl," Cameron Diaz, who happens to be best friends with her "Charlie's Angels" co-star, stated. However, co-radio host Kyle Sandilands made a comment that obviously upset and offended Cameron Diaz and caused the actress cut the interview short.

"Let's hope she misses out on the Drew Barrymore drug years, because those were a great thing to watch, but not so good to be in, I'd imagine," Sandilands stated. After the host's comment, Cameron Diaz became silent indicating that she is not pleased with Drew Barrymore's struggle with drugs brought up during the interview.

"I'm sure, Kyle, you've never been through a drug phase, have you? Or alcoholism or anything like that? Pretty clean... always did it right? Congratulations," Diaz, who was still struck with the Aussie host's comment, responded. However, Kyle Sandilands appeared to further upset the Hollywood actress when he stated that he is friends with "Good Charlotte" guitarist and vocalist Benji Madden, Cameron's boyfriend.

Co-host Jackie O noticed the mood change during the interview and decided to shift the topic from Cameron's best friend to the weight loss of actor Jason Segel for the film. It was then Cameron Diaz decided to cut off the interview and told the hosts that they have to leave now.

"Sorry, they're wrapping us up," the actress stated. After the interview, Jackie O told Kyle Sandilands that the flow of interview got ruined because of the "Drew Barrymore drug years" comment. "You brought up Drew Barrymore, her best friend's drug addiction in the past. She's her best friend! And then you brought up Benji. We all know how protective Cameron is about her private life," Jackie O declared.

Kyle Sandilands, who was unrepentant with the comment made, argued that it was the point of a good interview and even suggested that the "Sex Tape" cast and crew should have bought ads if they "wanted to sell the movie."
