Campaign to offer rebates for green office tenants
Organizations willing to make changes to improve energy efficiency are now qualified for a ACT Government rebate for CitySwitch Signatories on 50 percent of the cost of a NABERS energy rating.
CitySwitch Green Office is a national program that works with office tenants committed to improving energy efficiency for a positive impact on climate change. It is Australia’s only national energy efficiency program that works directly with office tenants, rather than building owners. The program provides national and local promotion of organisations that are committed to reducing energy use.
Organisations can now take advantage of a rebate that the ACT Government is offering to CitySwitch Signatories on the cost of a NABERS energy rating. The rebate is for 50 percent of the cost of a NABERS energy assessment to a maximum value of $1000 ($1100 including GST).
The rebate is available for all CitySwitch Signatories who obtain a NABERS energy rating from the 1 July 2010 to 31 May 2011. Organisations that join CitySwitch after receiving a NABERS energy rating are also eligible to apply. This is an excellent opportunity for organisations that have recently obtained a NABERS energy rating to become CitySwitch Signatories and apply for the rebate.
