Canadian tennis sensation Eugenie Bouchard was not among the most popular people in Canada until Australia Open happened. The Montreal beauty created history when she became the first Canadian to enter the semi-finals of a Grand Slam competition in the last three decades after defeating Ana Ivanovic on Monday, Jan 20, 2014.

Canada holds breath to see if she gets successful and make the history even more glorified by winning the semis on Thursday, Jan 23. The one who is standing between her and a place in the final of the Australian Open is China's Li Na. CBC reports that Ms Bouchard has been waiting for the moment since she was five.

Ms Bouchard said that her victory against the former number one in the quarter final was not a surprise to her as she had always expected herself to do well. She also said that she was looking forward to the Thursday match as she was not done with her run in the competition yet.

Ms Na, 31, is expected to throw a great challenge against Ms Bouchard. Ms Na was the champion in the French Open in 2011. She has a wonderful track record of reaching the finals of Australian Open as she did that twice in the last three years. Ms Bouchard, on the other hand, has started playing Grand Slam Tournaments only in 2013.

The 19-year-old Canadian does not seem to be bothered about the kind of experience Ms Na brings in with her. She admitted that Ms Na was a "great champion" but predicted that the match would be "really tough." She said that it would be "interesting" to compete against her.

Commentators have already started predicting a glorious future ahead for Ms Bouchard who has recently declared that she would like to date Justin Bieber [Read Here]. She called herself "impatient" as well as "aggressive" at the same time. She apparently believes in creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
