'Captain America: Civil War': 'Divided we fall' trailer released; Winter Soldier Iron Man faceoff
Marvel has released a new trailer of “Captain America: Civil War.” The trailer shows new footage from the movie. Some of the action sequences featured in the video includes The Winter Soldier fighting Iron Man.
People chanting “united we stand” can be heard at the beginning of the video and this chanting changes to “divided we fall” late on. Familiar scenes of The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) being hunted by the government and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) trying to save his friend can be seen.
A new scene of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) taking on The Winter Soldier is featured in the video. Tony is still wearing his business suit when he is attacked by Bucky. Tony uses his Iron Man watch to stop a bullet that Bucky fires at him at close range.
Tony appears shocked at the fact that The Winter Soldier fired at him. In a battle with unknown rivals, Tony’s friend James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) gets injured. Iron Man removes the mask of War Machine to see the face of his injured friend in the trailer.
Iron Man has a simple message to all the superheroes in “Captain America: Civil War.” They will have to choose between his side and Steve’s side. “You chose the wrong side,” Tony says in the video.
The trailer highlights the fact that the trigger for the fight between the two factions will not simply be government legislation. Each superhero appears to have been personally affected by some of the events in the movie, prompting him/her to pick a side.
The main plot of “Captain America: Civil War” revolves around a bill that governments across the globe seek to pass. The bill restricts the superhero activity in the countries where the bill is passed. The superheroes had to strike in countries across the globe in “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” making the governments nervous about the unlimited powers and freedoms the superheroes enjoy.
