It remains unknown whether Tom Holland’s Spider-Man scenes in “Captain America: Civil War” will have a major role in the film. Variety had explained that the actor would only be shooting his scenes as the web crawler for about a week. This is said to be the reason why there was no rush to cast the character for the film.
Apparently, Marvel and Sony were impressed with how Tom Holland had portrayed Spider-Man during his screen tests. “For Spidey himself, we saw many terrific young actors, but Tom’s screen tests were special,” Tom Rothman, Chairman of Sony Pictures Motion Pictures Group, said.
