Caroline Wozniacki linked to NBA player Boston Celtics’ forward David Lee
Dane tennis star Caroline Wozniacki has recently been linked to professional basketball player David Lee after the two were spotted together at an event in Miami Beach, Florida. A report said that Wozniacki was on “Lee’s arm” when they arrived at the Villa Casa Casaurina on Tuesday evening.
Wozniacki was one of the guests who turned up at the event along with former New York Knicks and Boston Celtics forward Lee, but the pair was not exactly an item. A source revealed to Page Six that Wozniacki and Lee had only been introduced to each other through a friend a night before the event. There is nothing to confirm whether Wozniacki is officially seeing Lee, but it is anticipated that questions and speculations are sure to arise.
Since Wozniacki’s breakup with professional golfer Rory McIlroy in May 2014, the tennis star had been rumoured to be close with a few athletes. She was linked to Washington Redskins’ linebacker Ryan Kerrigan in December 2014 after they were spotted together at a charity event.
Wozniacki was also linked with Houston Texans star player J.J. Watt earlier this year. They were sitting courtside together as Watt cheered on his alma mater, Wisconsin, during the 2015 NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship game.
The 17th-ranked Dane took part in a non-WTA level event in front of home crowd at the Energi Denmark Champions Battle on Nov. 26. She beat close pal top-ranked female tennis player Serena Williams 6-3 6-4 to claim the victory at the exhibition match.
Wozniacki will open her 2016 season at the ASB Classic from Jan. 4 to Jan. 9, 2016. Joining the Dane at the WTA International event are reigning champion Venus Williams and 2008 French Open champion Ana Ivanovic.
