Cast, fans gather for Harry Potter "Deathly Hollows Part 2" world premiere in London [PHOTOS]
The Trafalgar Square and Kings Cross Station in London served as the last stops of a pilgrimage attended by the cast and thousands of Harry Potter fans for the "Deathly Hollows Part 2" world premiere.
Fans from all over the globe camped out surrounding the Trafalgar Square days before the July 6 world premiere just to get first dibs on the last installment of the billion-dollar movie franchise. Harry Potter fanatics, some even coming as far as Argentina, filled the area wearing costumes and holding banners to profess their love for Hogwarts' kid wizards. Although the premiere proved to be a joyous occasion, some of the fans couldn't help but to express their impending melancholy once Deathly Hollows finishes its run in the theaters.
"I've grown up in the Harry Potter generation, it's a limbo state after this, I read the first book when I was five, so now it's weird that it's coming to an end, like the end of childhood" says a fan Rhyss Bowen Jones in a report posted on the Sydney Morning Herald. "Deathly Hollows Part 2" is the eighth and last Harry Potter movie after a decade of world domination on movie charts and $US6 billion in revenue. Deathly Hollows part 2 is expected to be the season's biggest movie that will break box office records.
Cast members arrived in front of St. Pancras Hotel near London's Kings Cross Station to celebrate the much-awaited premiere. Emma Watson arrived in a skin tight ruffled dress that showed her maturity and lady-like physique, looking far from her red carpet premiere in 2001.
