Filming for “Avengers: Infinity War” and its yet-to-be-named sequel will commence on January 20, 2017. With this, Marvel Studios has recently held two open casting calls in December 10 and 11 at the Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia. The casting call invited men and women of all ages, ethnicities and other classifications and with no experience necessary.

While the opening is generally for extras and stand-ins, those who might get luckier than the rest could get featured roles. However, it was required that applicants had the legal capacity to work for the entertainment industry in the State of Georgia, where filming will take place from January until an undisclosed date in 2017.

Screen Rant reports that the announcement of “Avengers: Infinity War” and its sequel has gotten fans excited to see their favourites, which include Iron Man, Doctor Strange, Captain America and, possibly, even the Guardians of the Galaxy. For those who want to see more, this could also be the opportunity to introduce a new wave of heroes while some known ones would be retired or even killed off. As for the casting call that has been conducted, sources say that such has confirmed the appearance of other characters from the comics.

The casting call has listed Brie Larson, who has a solo “Captain Marvel” film coming up. This could mean that her character will be introduced in another manner before her solo film comes out in cinemas in 2019. Also seen in the casting call were some members of the Guardians of the Galaxy, including Karen Gilan, who played Nebula.

Since Marvel and Disney have been quite secretive and very careful not to spoil as many details as possible, fans have taken on these auditions to see what is in for them while confirmed cast lists and other details are unannounced. It is to be noted that casting calls are not always reliable sources of who will appear in a movie and who will not. However, since “Avengers: Infinity War” is officially set to begin production in a few weeks, the casting calls are so close that no time should be wasted with inaccurate information.
